I am a counselor at an elementary school. I have referred Mr. Stephens to all of the teachers and their parents. Hello we are the Caraway's and Mr. Stephens is currently our daughter's math mentor. We have been privileged to have such a personable mentor to assist with the many challenges that our daughter has had to overcome in math. There had been many times when we had seen the anguish and frustration in our daughter's eyes while attempting to do her math homework. Somewhere doing her 10th grade year she had gone astray in math. She was almost ready to give up. We knew that with her having an ultimate goal of becoming a doctor that math would play an important role in her education. So we decided to seek helped. We found our math guru Mr. Stephens. Mr. Stephens is exceptional at tutoring because of the relationship he builds with his students. He is a very heartfelt individual who could take any of the lowest students to the highest division of their class. Not only is Mr. Stephens and his entire staff extremely knowledgeable but he has also shown great flexibility with our schedule and his schedule over the past two years. Double A+ has always been a phone call away, ready and willing to assist with any obstacle. Since Double A+ has been in the picture our daughter's fear of math no longer exist. She is not only exceeding in math she is excelling past the other students in her class. She now maintains an 'A' average in class. I highly recommend Double A+ for any troubled math student.
Hi my name is Adrianna I am an 11th grade student preparing to graduate at the top of my class. I must say this accomplishment would be almost impossible without the help of Double A+ Tutorials. Over the past two years I have been blessed to have Mr. Stephens as my math mentor. He and his staff has shown great patience with me while helping me regain my confidence in my math skills. Mr. Stephens has helped me to empower both of kids in the area of mathematics. My 24 year old son graduated from The School of Pharmacy at Texas A & M on May 21st 2016. Math was never his strongest or favorite subject. After having Mr. Stephens, his confidence in math grew and he continued on to do well. He has also helped Isabella to better understand math and pass her STAAR test. This has been a tremendous boost for her confidence.
At first I did not like math because to me it was extremely hard to understand. I have always struggled in math, that is until I was fortunate to be introduced to the teaching methods and styles of Coach. Stephens in the 8th grade. He pushes and demands the best from all of his students. I always complained about how much work we had but at the end of the 8th grade year I passed the math STAAR test for the first time!!! Since 8th grade I have been going to Double A+. Everyone uses the teaching methods of Mr. Stephens. If you don't understand a concept the first time, they will go over it again in a different way that makes more sense to you. They really make sure that at the end of the day you clearly understand how to do it. They make it simple and understandable to me. Coach Stephens will always be the number one math teacher.
I have always referred to Mr. Stephens as the missing link. I first met Mr. Stephens when he worked with my niece Dani. Dani's history in math was not good. She had been unsuccessful on all of her end of the year state tests (TAAS and TAKS) Everything changed for her when she ended up in Mr. Stephens' math class. Not only did she pass the end of the year math state test for the first but she went on to have a stellar career in math. She is currently in nursing college. Although my son' Jarred and Jalon didn't have Mr. Stephens in class, they attended Double A+ tutorials and the results were still the same. Both of them constantly told me how they loved the fact that Mr. Stephens would explain difficult concepts in a simple way that they could understand. The other thing they both ranted about was that Mr. Stephens and the staff at Double A+ always made them feel special and important. Every time they would leave their confidence and self esteem was always high. As with Dani, both Jalon and Jerrad went on to school to do very well. Mr. Stephens and Double A+ will always be the missing link. Before him they just didn't get.
